Memories from the Fall Retreat
Thursday, October 27th, 2005Wow What a Weekend! Everyone experienced the Holy Spirit in a powerful way. My favorite memory was Sunday morning. One student, Sarah S., asked if she could get baptized in water. It was cold and drizzly outside (Think Maine Lake in October) but I wasn’t going to not baptize someone who wanted to be baptized.
I shared what water baptism was about and why we practice it and as I always do, I asked if any one else was interested in being baptized. To my surprise not just one but three more girls asked to be baptized. (Remember Cold, rainy, October!) They each shared how much God had revealed himself to them this weekend on the retreat and how they wanted to make a public profession of their faith.
It really was an awesome retreat!
